2010 Park Crescent, Abingdon (back)

About This Project

This garden had been neglected for years. The new owners wanted terraced gardens with formal areas to include a Victorian greenhouse, vegetable area, herb garden, soft fruit area, seating areas and a water feature. We had to form 5 different terrace areas on different levels to accommodate the drop of about 18 feet from house to the bottom of the garden. After stripping the garden and removing an old double garage, we proceeded to retain the different levels with brick walls to match the house. The paving was sandstone with brick edging the screening was achieved using Quercus oak trellis to protect the areas from the elements. The garden was designed by Sue Morely.
